Former DePuy Synthes, Enovis Exec Joins Peptilogics Board

Tim Czartoski, orthopedic exec and former DePuy Synthes and Enovis exec, has joined the board of directors for Peptilogics.

Peptilogics, which is headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pa., develops therapies for preventing and treating medical device-related infections. Its lead candidate, zaloganan (PLG0206), is a first-in-class broad-spectrum anti-biofilm drug being evaluated in the Phase 2/3 RETAIN trial for prosthetic joint infection.

Czartoski has led successful launches of robotic technology platforms and advanced knee systems. He spent 22 years at DePuy Synthes, where he headed its U.S. orthopedics business across Joint Reconstruction, Trauma, Spine, Sports, and CMF. He later served as president of U.S. Surgical and Global R&D at Enovis and volunteers on the board of Matthew 25, a nonprofit providing free healthcare to uninsured community members.

He said he sees significant potential for therapies that complement existing approaches to prosthetic joint and medical device-related infections, which have historically been addressed primarily through device and surgical innovation.
